Public servant, renowned musician and vocalist, businessman and humanitarian; Chairman Sean P. Jackson is undoubtedly the quintessential all – American statesman. With humble beginnings Sean grew up in an impoverished West Palm Beach community where crime, violence and drug use ruled the neighborhoods. Raised by a single mother and with the introduction of music at a young age Sean found a pastime that allowed him to remain removed from such an environment while simultaneously focusing on his studies. Coming up through the Palm Beach County public school system Sean was fortunate in using his talent to further advance himself in the magnet program ultimately graduating from the Alexander W. Dreyfoos, Jr. School of the Arts. During Sean’s musical academia Sean performed with world – renowned institutions such as Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Palm Beach Opera & Boca Raton Philharmonia to name a few. Both classically and jazz trained on the string bass Sean also had the pleasure of being taught by jazz greats such as Dave Tomasello, Mik Groniger, Duffy Jackson and Nancy Wilson’s former trombonist Cleve Maloon. When not performing arias and orchestral masterpieces or improvising a new jazz tune Sean has been recognized impromptu singing with Soul Diva and Grammy Award winner Patti LaBelle as well as Gospel Legend and recording artist Shirley Caesar. Now, as Senior Partner of Clutch Strategies, a full – service government relations and public affairs firm, Sean continues to remain a political trendsetter across the United States, defying the odds and never taking no for an answer, never allowing failure to be an option.
More recently Sean has been recognized as a rising star in the Republican Party. In august 2012 Sean was elected amongst his peers to serve as the 2nd Chairman of the Black Republican Caucus of Palm Beach County. Since then Sean has expanded the organization to be statewide. Now, the Black Republican Caucus of Florida (BRCF), setting it ablaze nationwide as the largest black republican grassroots organization in Sean’s election as Chairman of BRCF chartered a course that through the help of Board Members and relationships alike that Sean has forged over the years, have brought BRCF to dedicate its efforts of community outreach not just to recruiting new members but also encouraging and training those members to serve their respective communities in elected office, nationwide. It is with this leadership that BRCF is soon to unveil the launching of the National Black Republican Caucus (NBRC) where the sole intent of NBRC will be to duplicate the work of BRCF in 12 additional key swing states, paving the way for NBRC to deliver a minimum of 12% of the black vote to both Republican Gubernatorial & Presidential candidates.
As the Former Chief Legislative Liaison of a Global Sustainability Initiative, Sean has worked tirelessly in some of the most poverty-stricken communities in America, striving to bring about home weatherization enhancements that offer low-income families cheaper energy rates. Prior to serving his own firm as Senior Partner, Sean served The Brewer Group (TBG), a boutique impact investment firm as its Senior Advisor of Government Affairs and was later promoted to Senior Vice President. Working closely with The Brewer Groups President / CEO & former NFL great Ambassador Jack Brewer, Sean strengthened TBG and TBG’s client’s ability to work with all levels and branches of Government and their agencies. Sean’s success at building Clutch Strategies has undoubtedly gone unnoticed, working with a wide range of clients from the NFL to government and entertainment. Sean has worked with notables such as Ray Lewis, Stacey Dash, The GEO Group, Investments Limited, Dr. Alveda King & Rohan Marley to name a few. Clutch Strategies provides consulting in the areas of government relations, campaign management, brand management, public affairs and international government affairs. Sean is also proud of his work in the criminal justice space, working with The GEO Group to advocate on behalf of inmates to ensure that programming is available for both men and women to further their skills in a trade of interest. Sean is executive producer of a documentary titled “tackling recidivism” that seeks to suppress the false narrative that private prisons are bad for community.
Having grown up in a poverty-stricken community, Sean knows and understands firsthand the struggles of living in a distressed neighborhood with very little to no motivation, support or resources. Its those experiences that have not only kept Sean humble but eager to serve community. Separate from Sean’s community leadership and involvement, Sean is truly a humanitarian at heart. As the Director of Development for the Jack Brewer Foundation (JBF), Sean volunteers his time to manage the operations of JBF and its initiatives both domestically and abroad in the countries of Haiti and Malawi. Sean is also Chairman of the Board for the SP Jackson Family Foundation (SPJFF), a nonprofit organization founded by Sean that seeks to impact humanity by rescuing single mothers from poverty and enriching the lives of our worlds next generation of leaders, their children. In 2019 SPJFF embarked upon a humanitarian mission post Hurricane Dorian that delivered $25,000 of goods to the ravished islands of Freeport and Abaco, Bahamas in addition to providing temporary housing in excess of $10,000 for 30 families as well as providing Bahamian children with school essentials as the children were enrolled into the Palm Beach County School District to finish their years studies. SPJFF also conducted a medical mission in Haiti making way for children to receive dental cleanings and extractions. SPJFF delivered clean water to the Nations of Malawi and Mexico. Lastly, Sean has also been instrumental in working with a group of community organizers to develop the first ever African – American Museum in the City of West Palm Beach, FL.
Sean is the proud father of an amazing son, Tyrus (3). A third generation drag racer, Sean continues to drag race in memory of his father, Tony Jackson and Grandfather Lenny Jackson. When not on the road Sean continues to enjoy singing and playing the string bass. Sean is an avid golfer and horseback rider. Sean’s family has resided in Orlando, FL for the past 37 years. Sean was born and raised in West Palm Beach, FL and is proud to be a 4th generation Floridian.
